The Pistol Safety Academy offers three types of classes: NC Conceal Carry; NRA Certified Basic Pistol; SAFETY CLASS / GUN CHARGE Personal Safety Courses. Please read below for descriptions, registration links and additional information to help you prepare for class. WE ARE NOT A PUBLIC RANGE

NC CONCEAL Carry Class max of 10 students to a class !!

This is the NC Department of Justice approved NC Concealed Carry class required to obtain an NC Conceal Carry Permit. Also required to be a US citizen , Naturalized , or a Permanent Life Time Visa .The class runs 8+ hours. After successfully passing the exam you proceed to the range and fire 35 rounds from 3, 5 & 7 yards at a silhouette target. You should have a basic understanding of the pistol and fired one before coming to class . You must qualify with the pistol with a minimum 85% accuracy to receive your certificate. Cost is $ 90.00 cash the day of the class , we rent pistols for testing $30.00 extra  Thank you for your interest in this class ,   ( We can offer classes during the week for groups of 7 or more . At a rate of $90.00 for each student ( Church groups, Work groups )   REMEMBER  to list your Mailing Address  when registering !! Can not hold the Seat till mailing address is listed !! SAFETY CLASSES ;

THIS class is set up for people that have received a ticket for having a loaded pistol in their car; we set down and discuss ,what the person did , where they should have done , and what the law requires for safe transport of a pistol , if they don’t have a CONCEALCARRY PERMIT . cost for the class is $ 150 .00 As long as another charge is not on the ticket ; the person has a good chance to receive their pistol back after the charges are dismissed WE hold these classes on a ;one to one basses . contact us if we can assist you with this class .

NRA Certified Basic Pistol

This class includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from standing position, two handed position; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development.  take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate. Cost is $ 110.00 for each student, Have to have groups of 6 or more to be able to hold the class Groups are encouraged  to get together  , cut off age is 18 for safety and insurance rules. ( We also are offering private classes for basic pistol safety they start with 2 hours or more , learn basic, cleaning , handling , and safety , also work with the student on which type and caliber pistol is best for them . cost is $ 45.00 a hour )

Personal Safety Courses

The seminar includes classroom instruction on a variety of crime prevention strategies. Seminars may be modified to suit the needs of a particular audience. This is not a firearms instruction course, and does not include instruction in physical combat self-defense. Seminars teach about common weaknesses that criminals may take advantage of, and teaches a variety of corrective measures that are practical, inexpensive, and easy to follow .  $45.00hour

WHAT TO WEAR:  

  • Comfortable clothes and tennis shoes or boots. We will be shooting outdoors, on grass surface.

WHAT TO BRING: 

  • A pistol to shoot: If you want to bring your own pistol please do (we have pistols to rent for testing).

  • Ammunition: Do not bring into class, leave it in your vehicle.

  • Hearing protection (MANDATORY) (we have it here for you if needed )

  • Eye protection (MANDATORY) (we have it here for you if needed )
